The Goodwood Cricket Club would like to congratulate Jamie Scott and his wife Sue on the birth of Isla Mae Scott who was born on the 30th of December, weighing 7lb 10oz.

Congratulations!

The Goodwood Cricket Club would like to congratulate Michael Chunys and his partner Kendall on the birth of their first child. Asha Leslie Chunys was born at 9:37pm on the 27th of December, weighing 8lb 15oz. Mother and baby are both doing well.

The inaugural Miss Goodwood will be held on Saturday November 26th from 7:30 pm at Goodwood Cricket Club.

Michael Ledgard at Indoor Cricket World Cup

Goodwood CC wants to congratulate Michael Ledgard on his effort so far in the Australian Indoor Cricket World Cup currently being held in South Africa. Australia are sitting top of the rankings and Leggas has had a great tournament.

Michael Harden Farewell

Kevin McCaffrey

Goodwood Cricket Club was sorry to hear that dedicated Goodwood player Kevin McCaffrey suffered a brain injury a couple of months ago. We wish him all the best in his recovery.

He is making excellent progress and is happy to receive visitors. He is at the Brain Injury Reahibilitation (BIRU) at Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre, Northfield. Please call the hospital on 8222 1930 to check that he doesn't have any therapy sessions on when you come.

Updated Training Schedule - Seniors

Tuesday and Thursday outdoor training will be held from this Thursday 22nd September at Goodwood Oval. Training starts at 5pm. Initially, training will be on hardwicket only so please bring sandshoes (spikes are not to be worn on hardwicket under any circumstances). The bar will be open after trainings from Thursday 29th September.

Dean Garrett riding from Melbourne to Adelaide

Dean Garrett will be riding from Melbourne to Adelaide between the 16th and 22nd October as part of a group raising money for the Flinders University Autism Early Intervention Program. Donations can be made at www.GoTo.org.au.

Additional Pre-season Training Sessions - Seniors

In addition to the sessions being held on Sundays, training sessions are also now being held on Tuesday nights from 6:30 - 8:00 pm at Woodlands Indoor Centre. These will be held every week prior to the beginning of outdoor training and attendance is free.

Juniors Pre-season Training

Junior pre-season training will commence at Woodlands Indoor Centre on Monday September 19th and 26th from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Cost is $3 per session to pay for net hire.

Everyone is encouraged to attend the 2011 AGM. Come along early and have a meal with your mates beforehand and stick around to watch the footy over a few beers later on. All are welcome. A minimum of 20 people is required for a quorum so please help your club out and attend.
